Mercedes-Benz trucks and buses can now be tracked through FleetBoard Indonesia's technology

Otosia.com PT Daimler Commercial Vehicles Indonesia (DVCI) as the sole agent for Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles in Indonesia, today officially launched advanced technology for their commercial vehicles.

The technology, called FleetBoard Indonesia, is a comprehensive fleet management system and was created to ensure that the operation of Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles is more efficient and productive.

FleetBoard Indonesia is designed to support the growth of transportation businesses in Indonesia. FleetBoard technology is also equipped with several features such as Vehicle Tracking and Track Player, and 3rd Party System Integration.

This technology is also claimed to be able to complement existing fleet maintenance management systems such as Fuel Monitoring, Fuel Theft Warning, Engine Operation Monitoring and Hourmeter, as well as Service Interval and Periodical Administration Reminder.

Daimler also explained that this technology is very flexible in terms of adding devices or other features that are useful in supporting the fleet management system. According to DCVI, all the features in FleetBoard Indonesia technology are able to help save operational costs and increase business growth for commercial entrepreneurs.

"DCVI has seen how our customers are developing and hopes to share in the greater growth following the significant increase in the economic sector in the logistics, infrastructure and road transportation sectors where Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles can play an important role," said Marketing Director Daimler Commercial Vehicles Indonesia, Maximilian Knorr.

Max continued, FleetBoard Indonesia has also been specially designed to support customers so they can run their business more easily and efficiently.

"FleetBoard Indonesia provides accurate and real time reports for customers so they can develop the most effective strategies for business growth," he added.

The technology will be installed in the vehicle's computerized system. There is no display screen in the cabin, so drivers cannot feel or know that their journey is being continuously monitored by company management.

Apart from being able to monitor the movement of the truck or bus, FleetBoard can also monitor the driver's driving style. Furthermore, if the driver has a dangerous driving style or is traveling above average speed, then this will be informed to the company management or owner of the transportation service.

Monitoring FleetBoard Indonesia itself can be viewed via the website which can be accessed on a computer or smartphone screen with an adjusted display style. Currently, this technology is only an option for every Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle owner and can be ordered at all Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle dealers.

Regarding the price of this technology, according to DVCI, everything depends on each dealer, because the price is only determined by the dealer. However, DVCI guarantees that consumers will get a 1 year guarantee, free technician service fees during the active subscription period if damage occurs to FleetBoard Indonesia, as well as free delivery and installation costs for the Java Island area.
